Why I love this type of ministry:

As a trauma survivor myself, I have experienced God's protection, provision and grace during my great time of need and after the trauma once the healing process began. I am not the same person I was before the trauma but God has transformed, comforted and healed the wounds of my heart. My life is Full of Joy now because of Him.

The stages of grief that are associated with trauma are not an easy process to go through. They are full of emotions:

Why did this happening to me? feeling alone in the pain like no one cares or is there. There is anger, sadness and loss of hope. There can be a lack of understanding from those around the situation. These are all valid and normal responses to trauma in the world. It would seem easier just to push past the trauma but that does not bring healing.  It only stuffs the trauma deeper into the mind/ body and can lead to denial & health issues.  The world would say just forget it and move on or that you will get over it.

But that is not what God wants for us. As Christians, as Believers in Jesus Christ, God wants to walk alongside us, to hear us, to vent our emotions to Him, to comfort us and transform our pain. The trauma healing program from the American Bible Trauma Society,  will give you the tools you need to begin the healing process and lean back into God for strengthen, hope & forgiveness. Recovery does not just happen over night. It's a process with no time limit on grief. Through Christ Jesus one can begin the process of true healing & forgiveness. - Luna Carter

Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.

My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.

Favorite Verse(s) in the Bible: One of the scriptures that has gotten me through some very difficult times in life is Psalm 27:13-14.

Favorite Book of the Bible: Currently Ephesians & 1st Peter

Favorite Food: Ice cream. My husband insists it is not a food, but I believe otherwise. Coffee ice cream is my favorite.

When I am not working or busy I like to:  I love going on adventures with my husband, photographing the world, and writing.

Why I do this kind of work: I believe one of the things that gives purpose to pain in life is being able to reach others through it. I want to share with others what I have experienced and what I have learned; I want to encourage them in Christ. I want them to know they are understood, and not alone. No one should have to carry the burden of loneliness on top of their grief. Writing is my ministry, and it is my prayer that God would bless others through my words.
